We're the Republican Committee of Powhatan County: dues-paying neighbors — farmers, shop owners, parents, retirees — who recruit candidates, staff the polls, and keep watch on county government. We'd be glad to have you.

What the Committee Does
Recruit & support candidates
School board to Board of Supervisors to the General Assembly — good candidates don't appear; somebody finds them and backs them. That's us.
Register voters & staff the polls
Every precinct, every election. We register new arrivals, answer questions, and put trained volunteers at the tables on Election Day.
Keep watch on county government
Somebody has to read the agenda packet. We follow the county's business year-round and report what matters.
Vote
Voting in Powhatan is simple once you know the steps. Start by confirming you're registered and finding your precinct. Virginia accepts several forms of ID at the polls; if you don't have one, you can sign an ID Confirmation Statement.
On Election Day
Polls open 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at your assigned precinct.
Early, in person
Vote at the registrar's office starting 45 days before Election Day — no reason or application needed.
By mail
Request a ballot from the registrar, then return it by the deadline. Any registered voter may vote by mail.

Membership
This outfit runs on members.
Not clicks, not consultants — members. Membership is open to any Powhatan County Republican willing to say so out loud, and dues pay for real things: the fair booth, the signs, the postage.
Join, and the committee's business becomes your business — debated and decided in the room, by the people who showed up.
Full Membership $30/year
A vote on every question before the committee, and a seat at each monthly meeting.
Associate $15/year
Every privilege of membership but the vote and the attendance requirement — for supporters who can't always make the second Thursday.

The committee elected Daniel Bendele, a Powhatan attorney, as its new chairman. His first order of business: growing membership before the fall.
